A Dragonfly site is linked to a license. The license allows to use a maximum number of Dragonfly Applications simultaneously until an expiration date.
The information about the license linked to a site can be seen inside this area of the Dragonfly dashboard.
Each Dragonfly Application has a unique identifier (device_id) shown in the top right corner of the Dragonfly Web User Interface. A device_id is assigned the very first time a Dragonfly Application is launched and it remains consistent as long as the Dragonfly App remains installed at the same location (same path), on the same computer.
Each time a Dragonfly Application is launched the Onit server checks if the total number of Dragonfly Applications registered inside the site (included the one just launched) does not exceed the limits of the license linked to the site!
- If it is the case, then the Dragonfly Application is launched properly.
- If it is NOT the case then the Dragonfly Application is not launched and to launch it you need to remove one of the existing Dragonfly Applications from the Registered Devices table (at this link). Please be aware that you can NOT remove more than 1 Dragonfly Applications per day!
