Instead of using non-meaningful and simple names for the maps, Dragonfly 3 enables you to save the maps using a meaningful pattern that allows to manage multiple maps related to complex industrial plants. By clicking on the SAVE MAP button during the mapping process you will be prompted with a dialog box to put the map name. Instead of giving just a simple name inside the Name field, you can check the NAME PATTERN option and then create a map name following this convention:
- Prefix – this is an alias for the customer/industrial plant
- Map number – if the industrial plan is big you can use this field to refer to a specific sub-map/sub-area of the plant. When using the ArUco markers, Dragonfly will be able to automatically LOAD the map related to the specific area your camera is working in.
- Light, Half-light, Night – you can use these 3 check-boxes in order to keep track of the brightness conditions contained within the map.
- Iteration – when creating a map you have to save it in various steps/iterations. You can keep track of the incremental iteration using this field.
- Quality – you can keep track of the quality of the map using this field where: 0=not evaluated ,1=bad , 2=average, 3=good, 4=excellent
Within the map file name you will also automatically find:
- FOV – field of view
- Date of the map
- VM – amount of virtual markers saved.
