Here are the instructions to run the Dragonfly App positioning at computer’s start-up in a “forever” manner (meaning that in the rare eventuality that Dragonfly crashes, it is automatically restarted and only a clean termination can avoid the automatic re-start)
- TERMINATE ANY RUNNING DRAGONFLY INSTANCE.
- Contact the technical support team to get a ZIP with the service.
- Extract the compressed ZIP into C: to have a folder structure like this one: C:\Onit\Dragonfly\dfja-2.4_service.
- Launch the Command Prompt as administrator,
- Move with the shell inside the folder C:\Onit\Dragonfly\dfja-2.4_service\bat
- In the shell type: installService.bat
- Wait for the installation to end (it should take few seconds) and then close the shell.
- Enter into the SERVICES menu inside Windows and:
- Search for the service “DragonflyApp”
- Right click on it and START the service.
- Right click on it and then enter into the properties and tell Windows to RESTART THE SERVICE after a crash.
To uninstall the service you will have to run uninstallService.bat from the folder C:\Onit\Dragonfly\dfja-2.4_service\bat
Do you have authentication problems?
If you can’t authenticate it could be because you have exceeded the total number of licenses when launching Dragonfly from the NEW folder shown above. In this case please write the technical support team and we will remove all the DeviceIDs currently registered to your site so that you can authenticate with the new Dragonfly setup saved at C:\Onit\Dragonfly\dfja-2.4_service
