If you don’t need to map the area in between the sub-areas then our recommendation is to create multiple maps, one for each sub-area, and to automatically load the map corresponding to the current sub-area using the specific API call provided by Dragonfly. You can use for example the GPS info to get the macro location needed to load the correct map. This approach has the advantage of dealing with multiple small maps instead of a big one, which is better for the performances.
