A map created with Dragonfly can work properly in an environment subject to changes as long as the features in front of the camera do not change by more than 40% compared to the features collected during the mapping phase. If what is presented in front of the camera is different by more than 40% from what has been mapped previously there can be 2 situations:
- if the camera moves from a pre-mapped area to an area that has now changed by more than 40%: in this case there won’t be problems. Dragonfly will keep working smoothly.
- if the camera is turned ON and suddenly sees an area that has now changed by more than 40% since the previous mapping: in this case, Dragonfly won’t be able to recover its position until the camera sees an area already mapped.
